Calculator 03
Tax-deferred accounts eventually require withdrawals whether you need the money or not. See when they start for you, how they grow, and what is left.
About this calculator
- Uses the IRS Uniform Lifetime Table in effect for distribution years 2022 and later. Each year's RMD is the prior year-end balance divided by the factor for your age.
- Under SECURE 2.0, RMDs begin at age 73 for people born 1951 to 1959 and at 75 for people born in 1960 or later. Birth year is estimated from the age you enter.
- Growth is applied after each year's distribution at a constant rate. Taxes on withdrawals, spousal exceptions, and inherited-account rules are not modeled.
